Netflix for your gear (kinda) Meet thredup.com

Posted: September 30, 2009 in Uncategorized

thredUP is the premier clothing exchange on the web. Easily exchange clothes you don’t wear anymore for clothes you will. It’s peer-to-peer so you only pay for the envelopes. It’s like consignment meets Netflix. How cool is that??!!!

So I am just now getting acclimated with Thredup.com but it seems to be a solid idea. The have a super easy to use interface and they have taking time to breakdown the sizes based on fit and measure. They currently only have long sleeve and short sleeve pieces available for upload & trade but jeans will be made available on the site soon.
To some this may be a crazy idea. I can hear some of you out there saying “I am not wearing something someone else had” well, you try on clothes in the store right? Same deal. And if you on top of things you may just end up receiving some dope pieces and getting rid of stuff your are not rocking. Sounds like a win/win.  - Buie
